There’s nothing quite like fishing in the high country to take the stress out of life. Enjoy fishing on spring fed trout ponds at the ranch. This is a great place for fly-fishing instruction to whet your appetite for fishing Rainbow, Cutthroat or Brown trout on the Sun River or Gibson Lake. We have licensed guides, or you may choose to fish in solitude. Whether a beginner or experienced angler, fishing at the Triple J is a delight.
Fly fishing for wild trout in the Sun River among beautiful scenery is the dream of many anglers. Ask about special fly-fishing excursions to the North Fork of the Sun River from late June to early August. Bring your own gear – we can’t guarantee the condition of ours!
Fishing Licenses:
You do not need a fishing license for the ranch trout ponds, but anyone who fishes off the ranch will need to purchase a fishing license from the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks. A license for two consecutive days of fishing is $15, or ten consecutive days is $43.50 and a $10 Conservation License is also mandatory. The Season License is $60. You may obtain fishing licenses online from the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks.
